I am in awe of the president. He has the best ideas, just ask him. The latest one is to cull the weak and the elderly from the herd so that he can get re-elected.
The elderly should be lining up to sacrifice themselves for Trump and the economy. So what if he loses a few elderly voters along the way. A healthy economy by election day will bring many more voters to his side of the ticket.
I mean, hell, most of those old people don’t even work, they surely don’t stay at Mar a Lago. I bet that most of them don’t even know how to golf. Who needs them?
And it is all about the election. I mean what is more important. Trump getting back into the White House in order to commit more egregious acts against America, or little Tommy getting to know grandma before she dies. I now know what Trump thinks.
Other Republican politicians are also beginning say, “It’s time for old people to die so others can shop. The economy is more important than a few old farts sitting around playing Canasta while collecting Social Security.”
So Trump has targeted Easter Sunday as the day to release us from our stay at home orders, and free us from social distancing restrictions. Like the resurrection of Jesus, Trump will raise the economy from the dead, and bolster his re-election chances at the same time. Yippie!
So drink up. Or should I say, enjoy that last Easter Sunday with family and friends. After that, head to the nearest Starbucks for a cup of coronavirus, and then go quietly home and die. We don’t need you anymore.

Now, I shouldn’t have to say this, but this piece is a tongue in cheek, satirical, statement regarding Trump’s floater (I mean that literally) of his idea to re-open the economy after Easter Sunday. It is a blatant attempt to bolster his re-election chances in spite of the very real threat this poses to the lives of many Americans. It is also in conflict with opinions voiced by health experts.
So don’t take me literally on this – I do not believe old people should be sacrificed on the altar of capitalism.
Nuff said…

Our only hope is to vote Trump, and as many of the Republican congressmen (and women) out of office as we can. But that means voting. And it may not be easy this year.
Democracy never is.
Thanks for coming. This was fun. I haven’t got to have a good rant on this Blog for a long time.

We are hanging in there in Oregon. They say, “Stay Home, Stay Safe,” can make the difference from 3000 cases as compared to 36,000 cases. Luckily we have vote by mail so we can vote them out! Vote by mail needs to go nationwide!
